Those of you who've been around since at least last year have seen this picture before. No, it's not Photoshopped; my Honey Bear is just mellow enough to do a Santa-hat photo shoot. :) (One of these days I need to take an equivalent picture of Lotus. I think he'd be adorable in a little elf suit. Yes, I am That Kind of Kittymom.)
A blessed Solstice, merry Christmas, and very happy New Year to each and every one of you!

I love that picture!
Happy holidays, Anne!
A good holiday tradition, say I. Over the holiday season, I hope you are treated as well as your cats are, so that you have the same smile on YOUR face!
The only thing better than a cat who will willingly wear a Santa hat on his head, is a cat who will willingly wear a Santa hat on his head AND smile for the camera.
I've seen dogs smile before, but never a cat.
Thanks for sharing this photograph. I was feeling rather unChristmasy until I saw your smiling Santa cat.
Now, I feel ever so slightly ho ho ho-ish.
(grin)
I'm enjoying your Blog--found you through Collin Kelley's Blog.
Attended IU Writer's Conference in June, 2004. It was EXCELLENT; I learned a great deal...I was in Maureen Seaton's group.
Loved hearing Li Young Lee.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
I commented at another recent post of yours, too!
Glad you guys enjoyed my cute fluff-head. :)
Laurel - both of my cats smile ALL the time! Bear grins more than any cat I've ever known, though.
Lisa: Welcome! I think I went to Maureen Seaton's reading that year. She's a fabulous poet.
Happy Holidays, Anne, Bear, and Lotus!

Happy Holidays, Anne.
We need to get our book tour together. ;-)
Happy Holidays!
I should send you the picture of my first cat who was mellow enough to sit with a sweet tart on his head. :)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours Anne.
I'm sure my Fletcher would be laid-back enough to wear a hat, but he wouldn't smile about it. He's not too smiley under the best circumstances.
Very cute pic! Merry merry!
Likewise, great picture. I've actually known several cats who grinned, though he's definitely a prize-winning grinner.
I don't know if you ever happened to catch it -- I once saw, on "America's Funniest Videos," a cat (large orange striped tabby variety), wearing a red bandana, bunched up on a couch cushion or large pillow, lip-synching (and I mean perfectly, not kidding) to Bob Seger singing "Old Time Rock and Roll" (or whatever the exact title is). Awesome and hilarious.
Maybe you could teach your cats to lip-synch to something.
Dude. That's ridiculously cute.
Merry Catsmouse!
Thanks, guys -- glad you enjoyed my crazy-cat-lady silliness. :) Happy Holidays and a good New Year to all!
SO CUTE!
