Today's crackpot theory

The success of a reading depends entirely upon managing to wear the right pair of shoes.

Tonight's went pretty well. It would have been nice if there hadn't been a really loud punk band playing in the park across the street for the first half of our reading. But other than that I think it went pretty well.

I like doing readings. Maybe I like it a little too much, considering I don't get to do it very often.

Maybe if I bought new shoes I'd get asked to do more readings. *grin*

Anne, I'm with you. Only my crackpot theory is that the success of reading in general depends entirely upon managing to wear shoes at all. Probably because of conditioning, if I want to get really anything lasting out of any book, I've got to be wearing shoes. Which, when I'm at my apartment, usually translates to my '50s pop's home smoking his pipe in his easy chair' shoes. When I do readings, I prefer either a hat or a scarf as my chosen acoutrement.

So glad the reading went well for you. Which shoes did you wear?

The reading is finished and you want to do more readings? It must have gone well indeed. Congratulations.

Yay for great readings and great shoes. It's like my dad always said: you can't build a great building on a crappy foundation!

Hee! Thanks, all. Erin, I wore my Dansko clogs. Hey, I'm a librarian, I don't have to be stylish. ;)
