My "appearance" on WFIU has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 15. Oh, don't worry, I'll remind you! ;) Turns out the file was just temporarily misplaced. Sigh...

Watching yet another documentary about disaster on Mt. Everest. I don't know why I am so fascinated by this stuff. I don't really understand why people put themselves in such extreme, precarious, life-endangering situations ... and yet, I kinda do.
What would your life be like if every single footstep and every tiny little decision you made mattered so much that your life depended on it?
What would a poem be like if you cared about it that much as you were writing it?

There's a song that says Only kindness matters. I can't remember what song that is right now, though. Anybody?

Because it's there, silly.

I blush to say it, but I believe the song you're referring to is by Jewel...
Marie: I believe you're correct. Thanks! It was in my head and I couldn't figure out who it was for the life of me.
Yep -- it's one of those virus songs.
I don't get it at all, courting danger in service of nothing but an adrenaline rush. Adventurer types should be useful at least, be war journalists, or deliver aid to disaster areas, something that helps & lets them get their fix at the same time.
Not that I'm judging or anything. :o)
i put myself in dangerous situations a lot and i find, strangely enough, that i feel as if it is my purpose in life.
i've no plans for everest, but i do plan to hike mt. kilimanjaro.
Thanks for celebrating with me, Anne! :)
