Poetry Midwest

Check it out -- my poem "Windows" appears in the new issue of Poetry Midwest, which just went online today. (My poem "Door" was in there a few issues ago. Yes, I write poems about things other than house parts, honest!)

I believe they're still reading submissions for the next issue -- hint, hint, allayouse. :)

I like your windows poem because I love to do that, drive around at night and look into lit windows. Better yet if someone else can drive me, and usually I don't take the ladder.

Nice poem, Anne. I liked the use of "shade" with its double (triple?) meaning.

Also late to the party--great poem. I think you need to write an entire "house" chapbook.

Thanks, folks. Y'all are too kind.

Pamela, not a bad idea! *grin* Floorboards ... joists (what's a joist anyway?)... soffits (er, maybe I need to get a "what those parts of your house really are" book first)...
