Garbo -- sure thing! It won't be out until mid-April, so you'll need to remind me then, because my rememberer doesn't last that long. (When it's out, I'll be sure to mention it here.)
I've seen your work here and there--lovely stuff--and sought out the blog. What a beautiful image of ice-coated branches...the last time I saw it storm like that, I was at Virginia Center for Creative Arts. Imagine that same type of icing, over barbed wire and cow hair and dried grass. Dramatic.
On a completely random note...how do you know Rose Polenzani? She's a friend here on the East Coast. Really, really talented.
Hi Sandra, and welcome! You know, I've been listening to Rose P. for years -- had read that the Indigo Girls had asked her to open some shows for them, so I got curious about her, and went to a house concert she did in Indianapolis. This was when she just had "Dragersville" out. She is indeed outrageously talented. I stuck her in the blogroll in hopes that it might lead someone to discover her music. So I can't say I "know" her -- I've chatted with her once or twice, but I'm just a fan. :)
(god please don't let me have to use my iced-over fire escape, it will be slippery and i am six stories up and while i love you god, i do not want to come up there to see you yet; i just got to new york city (as you know) and want to stick it out here for awhile. i know anne will deliever this prayer to you. thank you anne. thank you god for your understanding. amen. and i do i mean men.)
MM: Not entirely sure I'm on speaking terms with God, but if She happens to drop in, I'll pass along your message. Hopefully if anything happens, She will send a dozen hunky firemen to rescue you. ;)

Hi Anne, If you do snag an extra copy of the poetry-scene issue with the Runcible photo, I would love to have one!

Would it piss you off if I tell you that I'm here on a writing residency in sunny Arizona? :)
William: Die!!
Hee! Just kidding. I hope you're having a wonderful time! It's bright and sunny here too, actually. Except it's 16 degrees. :)

the ice has melted from the fire escape now, however
hunky firemen rescue not scratched off the list.
